In this article we look at your game and your consistancy. Why every game should be your best game. Do it for yourself and you may Be Seen, Be Discovered.
We’d like to stress the importance of playing your best, every game. Why? Because you never know who’s watching. Scouts from clubs in Australia and overseas are always on the look out for great young talent. So it doesn’t matter if your playing the best or worst team in your competition you must bring you best game.

Australian Football Players makes every effort to attend it’s Registered Players games to assess the player’s ability and speak with the player. Sometimes we inform the player we are coming to watch and other times we don’t. By doing both we get a good idea of the player’s best game.

With the clubs we deal with they request a Player Profile, the next thing they ask for is a Player’s Playing Schedule. With this information they contact their scout and the scout attends a game.

This is very important! Scouts do not always tell us when they will attend a game. For this reason you MUST play your BEST game every game.

Things to remember are :

Wear the right boots for the conditions. For example, small moulds are great for hard, dry surfaces. Scew in’s or longer studs are ideal for soft or wet fields. By wearing the right boots for the conditions you will always perform better and not lose your footing at crucial moments.

On your best behaviour. Always show respect for your coach, team mates, opposition and officials. And always play fair. Football is very competitive and sometimes emotions run high. Showing passion is one thing, but do not lose your head even if the call goes against you. Show everyone you are level headed and play fair and always respectful. This will go a long way to show scouts and club officials who you really are as a player.

Gratitude. Be grateful that you have the ability to play the world’s most popular sport. Be grateful that you have the support of family and friends. Should a scout approach you after a game to speak with you, listen to what they have to say and remember to thank them for coming out and watching you.

We hope this short article helps you become the complete player on and off the field.
